Mini Camp for all Incoming Freshman Girls June 29-July 2
The girls lacrosse club would like to invite you to a
FREE mini-camp to check out what lacrosse is all about and see for yourself why it is the fastest growing sport for women! The camp will be held
June 29-July 2 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Village Green Park in Glen Ellyn on the soccer/LAX field (western edge of the park). You can attend one or all of the days depending on your schedule. Sticks and goggles will be provided; you will need to bring a mouthguard (required to play). You will also need to bring the signed release form in order to participate. Release forms can be downloaded from this website.

League Begins June 17 for all Returning Players The summer high school league begins
Wednesday, June 17 for all returning high school players who want to keep up their skills and have some fun this summer playing other area high school teams. The schedule will vary as games are scheduled. The high school league is under the direction of Coach Regan.

Welcomes New Coaches!
Bob Regan is the new Varsity Head Coach and Program Director for the girls lacrosse teams. Bob brings years of coaching experience to
GBW. Bob started the girls lacrosse program at Fenwick High School where he coached and ran the program for 4 years. Most recently, he was the assistant coach at Montini Catholic High School. Bob is actively involved with Illinois High School Womens Lacrosse Association
(ISHWLA).
Meghan James is a new assistant coach and is a teacher at Glenbard West. Meghan started playing lacrosse in high school attending St. Charles High School. She continued to play in college for the University of Illinois. She currently participates in a women's league in the Chicago area.
Katie Fuschen is a new assistant coach. Katie helped the girls lacrosse club this past season and now returns as an assistant coach. Katie played lacrosse and field hockey in high school growing up on the east coast. She has experience playing a number of field positions but brings her valuable goalie experience to our team. In
addition, we welcome back assistant coach Kendall Vail.
Kendall brings a wealth of experience playing and coaching lacrosse,
including coaching the Glenbard West girls in their first two
seasons.

Lacrosse is the fastest growing team sport in the United States. In 2008, the Girls Lacrosse Club was founded at Glenbard West and joined 36 other schools in the Chicagoland area participating in the IHSA emerging sport.
Glenbard West Girls Lacrosse fielded two teams in Spring 2008
and 2009 and
posted winning seasons each year.
Girls Lacrosse is a club sport at Glenbard West. It is a spring, no-cut sport open to all interested girls. The team is funded by player/parent fees. Girls Lacrosse is under the direction of the Girls Lacrosse Parent Board in conjunction with the Glenbard West Athletic Department.
